I just witnessed an amazing thing... Well to me it's pretty amazing...

.

Starlight Skatium here we come!!! Nonnie decided it would be fun to get us all out of our houses and into the roller rink so we could do some good old fashioned skating together. Everyone was beyond excited and Charli was beyond nervous since it was ONLY her first time in her life ever at a skating rink. Like I said everyone was sooo excited that of course I couldn't get hardly any of them to sit still long enough for me to get pictures let alone a group one. So hence the pictures I have included of pure ecstatic joy on their faces that their Nonnie (who is the bestest Nonnie in the whole, whole wide world if i may add) had taken them to the coolest roller rink in the nation. We even got Cara, Taylor, and the entire "Templeton Trio" to join us too so it was almost the entire crew of wee ones except for the four kids in which I will not name since just stating their names is too much to bare since we miss them more than words could possibly describe. (hint, hint, move closer, wink) I must say it was a great day that we had and it was very much deserved. As we got every child velcro or laced up and ready to go you could look at poor Charli and see the anticipation. She wobbled her way all by herself to the entrance and stopped at the edge of the floor and had to stand there for a bit just to see what this whole ordeal was really about. She hesitated for a brief moment and even shied away as I tried to lead her to the floor. She seemed quite unsure for a moment but then like a spark you saw the motivation set off in her eye. We slowly and clumsily went around the rink a couple times hand in hand until she caught a glimpse of a skating walker that wasn't being used and quickly darted for it. From then on she was off like a rocket in every direction and no one could stop her. I'm sure for her it was one of those moments all kids have when they just want their parents to put down the camera and get out of the way because from then on I was stuck like glue in amazement and heartbreak as to how independently she had all of a sudden become. However she was an instant pro-skater trying to skate in circles twirling the walker around and at moments even jumping on her skates or trying to skate on one foot. It was the cutest and most amazing thing ever! Who would have thought that roller skating is inherited through DNA? There's really no other way to explain it. The girl had only tried skating once or twice before that just a few weeks earlier in Nonnie and Papa's driveway. She quickly got her skating method down and if anyone got in her way or tried to help her she sure didn't hesitate to tell them to move or leave her alone pushing our hands away if we tried. However everyone had beyond a wonderful time even little miss Charli Jo! It was just amazing!!!!!!
