Now I get it.

Well, I think I understand now why people develop those family "compounds", where the parents, or grandparents, build or provide houses for their children and grandchildren, with all living in their own houses but on one big piece of property --- it's not out of a desire to control their children, but just to be near them. Just to be able to lay eyes on the sweet faces of their grandchildren, and bask in the reassurance that all are well, and safe, and happy. Because at the end of the day, there are really only two things that matter - being close to our creator, and being close to the ones we love.
