The Flood Zone

Fortunately we live on the high end of our subdivision, up on a hill, but the other end is in a flood plain, which we've never seen flooded until now! Both entrances to the subdivision are so flooded that cars can't get through. This is one entrance, right behind our house but down a hill...
On the end street farthest from us we watched a guy walk out into his front yard in mid-thigh water! Check out the mailbox, it's about to be under water!

This is the other entrance to our subdivision. Two cars stalled trying to come and go and had to be towed. A firetruck blocked things off for a while. If your here in a car you literally can't leave! And if your not here yet, don't plan on getting home tonight! 6th Street is very flooded too!
The worst part... the rain isn't stopping any time soon. If Brant hadn't been home this afternoon I wouldn't have been able to leave to get the kids from school! Fortunately his Jeep is tall, but if it keeps rising he won't even be able to get out!
